Sussanne Khan has opened up about how her bond with Hrithik Roshan’s family, particularly his mother, has grown stronger following the death of her own mother.
Appearing on the ‘Honestly Why Not’ podcast, Sussanne said her relationship with Hrithik’s parents had become “so beautiful” over the past six months, especially after she lost her mother.
“I must say that my bond with Hrithik’s mom and dad, especially his mom, has become so beautiful within the last six months,” Sussanne said.
Reflecting on their shared experience of loss and suffering, she said her mother’s death made her realise the depth of the relationship she shared with Hrithik’s mother.
“I actually kind of felt a lot of pain for the suffering that we both went through at one time, the way she used to love me and maybe I did something wrong or whatever,” she said.
Sussanne added that after her mother’s passing, she felt an even deeper sense of love for Hrithik’s mother and gained a greater understanding of what the relationship had meant to her.
Sussanne was previously married to Hrithik Roshan, with the couple parting ways in November 2014. They have continued to maintain a cordial relationship and remain connected through their children.
Sussanne is currently in a relationship with actor Arslan Goni. The two reportedly met through mutual friends and have been together for more than five years. They initially kept their relationship private but gradually became more open about it, sharing affectionate posts and appearing together at social gatherings.
Sussanne publicly confirmed their relationship in 2022. Arslan has also spoken warmly about their bond.
Interestingly, Arslan and Hrithik share a cordial equation, and Sussanne-Arslan and Hrithik and his partner have also been seen together socially.
