Suryakumar Yadav imitates Usman Tariq in nets as India prepare for ‘out-of-syllabus’ Pakistan spinner – WATCH

New Delhi: Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav was spotted imitating Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq’s bowling action in the nets as the defending champions trained under the lights at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday. The captain led the charge as India prepared to face arch-rivals Pakistan in the much-awaited clash on Sunday, February 15.

Ahead of the blockbuster clash, Pakistan’s Tariq has become a talking point due to his unique action. The spinner, who has been in the limelight and under the scanner over his pause and sling action, has caught the attention of the fans, experts and the Indian camp. He picked up three wickets in Pakistan’s last game against USA and is expected to play a key role for his side against the Men in Blue on Sunday.

To give Indian batters a taste of what it might be like to face Tarik’s pause and deliver action, Suryakumar was seen mimicking the spinner’s bowling action in the nets while bowling to Indian batters. In footage shared by the ICC, Suryakumar was seen copying Tariq’s action while bowling to Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh in the nets.

The video caught the attention of the cricket fans on social media and went viral.
