Taking to social media, Suriya posted “Gomathi Shankar has taken on a tough role in a well thought-out screenplay. The film maintains its mood throughout.” He also praised actor Rajamuthu’s role in the short film film Pechi.
The actor described Rajamuthu’s performance as “a deeply moving gut wrenching performance.” The film, which is streaming on YouTube tells the story of a polio-stricken shepherd, Mariyappan, learns of his mother’s death and undertakes a harsh journey home with only a goat for support. Blocked by caste discrimination and crushed by poverty, he pushes through heat and humiliation.”
Stephen is a psychological thriller film directed by Mithun Balaji in his directorial debut and produced by Jayakumar and Mohan produce the film under the JM Production House banner. The film stars Gomathi Shankar in the lead role alongside Michael Thangadurai and Smruthi Venkat in pivotal roles.
