A major accident occurred when a swing broke at the Surajkund fair in Faridabad. 13 people were injured and police inspector Jagdish Prasad died during rescue. In recent years, many incidents of swing and ride accidents have come to light across the country.
Surajkund Fair Accident: A swing installed at the 39th Surajkund Fair in Faridabad, Haryana suddenly broke, due to which a policeman died, while 13 people were injured. The accident happened at 6:15 pm. By the way, this is not the first incident of swing breaking. Let us know about 10 such big accidents.
1- Jhabua fair accident: Many injured as children’s swing broke

Around 13–14 school children were injured when a swing involving a dragon or a boat broke during a fair organized at Utkrisht Maidan/Higher Secondary Ground in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. This accident happened due to seating more people than the capacity of the swing.

Two people were killed and 27 were injured when a swing named ‘Discovery’ collapsed at Kankaria Adventure Park.
Serious questions are being raised on frequent accidents.
Accidents related to swings and rides are continuously being reported in fairs and amusement parks in different parts of the country. These incidents have raised serious questions on safety standards, regular checks and administrative monitoring.
