Dharmendra’s last rites were performed at the crematorium in Vile Parle. According to ABP News report, Dharmendra’s elder son Sunny Deol lit his funeral pyre. Dharmendra’s family took his mortal remains to the cremation ground in an ambulance. There is a gathering of Dharmendra’s family, fans and his colleagues and fans from Bollywood. When Hema Malini and her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol reached the crematorium, celebs like Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were also seen there.

Earlier this month, Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to difficulty in breathing. Reportedly on November 10, he had to be put on a ventilator after his condition deteriorated. However, the family had declared his condition to be stable at that time. The very next day i.e. on 11th November, false news of his death was spread in the media. On this, Hema Malini and Esha Deol reprimanded the media and paparazzi. The family had discharged him on 12th November and his last minute treatment was going on at home.
