Sunny Deol is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his biggest blockbuster film, which was released in theatres on June 15, 2001. Owing to its popularity, the Anil Sharma-directed film’s sequel had also come out in 2023. Interestingly, the second installment became a huge hit at the box office. In a recent interview, spoke about his favourite scene from Gadar. For the unversed, Gadar has some iconic moments that made the audience nothing but blow whistles in theatres back in 2001. Right from the handpump scene to the Hindustan Zindabad moment, Gadar never misses any chance to entertain the viewers with its epic scenes.
Sunny Deol On His Favourite Scene From Gadar
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sunny Deol opened up about a particular scene that holds a special place in his heart. He recalled a sequence in which Sakina ties the turban for Tara Singh. He loves the moment when he tells her, ‘I won’t wear this turban. I will preserve it forever’. Sunny said, “There is something incredibly pure and beautiful about that moment.”
Apart from that, Sunny Deol also mentioned that the songs from Gadar stayed in people’s memories for a long time. While speaking about choosing Gadar, the Chup actor said that he loved the story. He quickly says yes to the stories that truly connect with him.

According to the Ghayal actor, the film still appeals to the audience because the secret lies in its emotional authenticity and universal themes. Sunny Deol is back in form after delivering the biggest hit of his career, Gadar 2, in 2023.
Gadar also starred , Amrish Puri, Utkarsh Sharma and others in key roles. The sequel features Utkarsh, Simrat Kaur and Maneesh Wadhwa in pivotal roles.

It also features Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Shabana Azmi, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hajare and Kanikka Kapur in pivotal roles. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Batwara 1947 was earlier titled Lahore 1947. The film has music composed by AR Rahman.
Batwara 1947 will clash with Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani’s Awarapan 2 at the box office. Sunny was last seen in Border 2, which turned out to be a hit at the box office. Apart from Batwara 1947, the actor will also be seen in Gabru, Ikka, Ramayana Part 1 and Ramayana Part 2.
