Sunetra Pawar elected NCP legislature party leader, to be sworn as Maharashtra Dy CM this evening

Mumbai: Days after Ajit Pawar in a tragic plane crash in Baramati, his wife and Rajya Sabha MP Sunetra Pawar has ben elected by NCP MLAs as their leader. She will now take the oath as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister this evening.

She will be the first Deputy CM of the state. Her name was proposed by senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal, who was supported by others. Earlier, she agreed to accept the role after being approached by NCP leaders.
