Include just one grain in every meal
Dr Pramod says that most Indians include two grains like roti or rice in every meal. Whereas grains contain up to 80% glucose as carbohydrates. So try to have only one type of grain in your meal, either roti or just rice. Also reduce their quantity.
How much and how to eat: If you are eating a roti, then include 1 bowl of dal, 1 bowl of vegetable and 1 bowl of salad with it. First of all, eat salad, this will reduce the absorption of glucose in the blood. Now after this, if you want another roti, then again take 1 bowl of pulses, vegetables and salad. This will not only control your sugar level, but will also balance ghrelin (hormone that increases appetite) and leptin (hormone that signals fullness).
Do anti gravity workout 2 hours after eating
Dr. Pramod explains that the sugar level increases rapidly after 2 hours of eating. Sometimes it even reaches beyond 300. At this time you should do anti gravity workouts. For this you can start climbing and descending the stairs. Do this for 5-10 minutes. If you have trouble climbing stairs, you can do a nitric oxide dump workout. These include the upper body.
