On the Meghalaya border, BSF, police and villagers took joint action against Bangladeshi infiltrators and arrested many illegal citizens and also detained brokers. Now the border areas are feeling alert and safe.
Bangladeshi Border Security Action Video: Bangladeshi infiltration often occurs through the international border of Meghalaya. Now strong action is being taken against them. Recently, Border Security Force (BSF), along with police and local people, evacuated many Bangladeshi citizens from the settlement. All of them had entered India illegally and were living in settlements. This time BSF’s alert and public awareness have foiled every attempt of the infiltrators.
Big action against Bangladeshi infiltrators
In a video viral on social media, it can be seen that BSF jawans entered the colony and took out the intruders. These Bangladeshis were living under changed names. However, after the alert from intelligence agencies, the army came into action. After this, the army soldiers identified these many infiltrators and found them among hundreds of people. When this action continued, a crowd of hundreds was present here. However, regardless of the opposition, the army carried out its action. Teaching these infiltrators a lesson, the soldiers pulled them out. Many people kept making videos of this, but BSF continued its action.

Action against infiltrators intensified in last 6 months
Earlier, on the night of 14-15 July 2025, 26 Bangladeshi infiltrators and 4 local brokers were caught by the Army in West Garo Hills district. Many girls and youth were also with them. Vehicles used in illegal infiltration, cash, passports, mobiles etc. have been seized from them. Even before this, three Bangladeshi infiltrators were caught through the river in East Khasi Hills.

Not only this, in August 2025, villagers in south-west Khasi Hills saw eight to nine armed Bangladeshi infiltrators entering. BSF and local police had conducted a large-scale combing operation in the forest. At some places, the infiltrators even attacked the villagers who gave information, however, the security forces foiled their plot. Investigation revealed that infiltration had taken place through a broken fence during the rains, leading to further tightening of surveillance on the border. Social media users have taken this action seriously. Many people said that now the time has come that these infiltrators who have spread all over the country should be selectively taken out and they should be shown the way out.
