Aman Kumar of Baghpat emerged from poverty and child labor to achieve national and international recognition through digital innovation. With the support of the youth policies of the Yogi government, he is today an international youth icon and an inspiration for millions of youth.

Aman Kumar of Tyodhi village of Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, who once supported his family by selling newspapers on a bicycle, is today bringing glory to Uttar Pradesh and India on national and international platforms. Aman, who grew up in difficult conditions of poverty and child labour, has today become an inspiration for millions of youth with his struggle, determination and the support of Yogi government.
Got confidence from youth centric policies of Yogi government
Aman Kumar says that the youth-centric schemes, digital initiatives and public participation-based model of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave him the opportunity and confidence to move forward. These policies gave youth like him a platform to showcase their talent.
Changed direction after 12th, start of digital initiative
Aman is currently the President of Udaan Youth Club associated with the Youth Welfare Department of UP Government. Aman, who had faced lack of opportunities, decided that no promising youth should be left behind just because of lack of information. With this thought in mind, he started a WhatsApp group after 12th, which he further expanded and created a website named ‘Contest 360’. This platform provides information about education, scholarship, career and government opportunities at a single click, which has been visited by more than 84 lakh youth so far.
Digital solutions in Kanwar Yatra and elections
In the year 2022, Aman along with the administration developed the Kanwar Yatra App, which included features like travel routes, medical facilities, camps, emergency contacts and administrative support. More than three and a half lakh devotees used this app. After this, during the Lok Sabha elections, he made the Sweep Baghpat app and provided the services of the Election Commission of India to more than 1.25 lakh voters.
Government schemes linked to digital platform under the guidance of District Magistrate
Under the guidance of Baghpat District Magistrate Asmita Lal, Aman developed ‘Suchna Setu App’ in collaboration with the Information Department, through which people could connect with officials and government schemes at a single click. Apart from this, important initiatives were also taken in the direction of digital Panchayat by creating the website of Animal Welfare and Gram Panchayat Faizpur Ninana through ‘Baghpat for Animals App’.
Active role for youth at national and international level
Aman’s innovation and dedication received national recognition when the UP government honored him with the Swami Vivekananda Youth Award. Today Aman is associated with prestigious organizations like UNESCO Global Youth Community, UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab, UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance, UNICEF National Youth Ambassador, Hundred Foundation, Climate Cardinals and Yango.
Leadership of Team UP on Prime Minister’s platform
Aman Kumar was made the Group Captain of Team UP in the ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue’ organized in the year 2026, where he led the youth in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with this, he also worked with Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi.
Honors and Achievements
Aman Kumar received the prestigious I Volunteer Award in the year 2025. Apart from this, he has received many national awards including UNICEF India’s India’s Most Valuable Reporter Award, Young Transformers Award, Shiksha Ratna Award. My India Institute of Government of India has also appointed him as Youth Mentor in Uttar Pradesh.
