New Delhi: The Subroto cup international football tournament will witness its 65th edition commencing from August 18 wherein 107 teams will participate in the tournament in the three categories in New Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
The tournament to be held under the aegis of the Air Force Sports Control Board, will be organized by the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society (SMSES) and will conclude on September 24 with over 215 matches in the junior girls (U-17), sub-junior boys (U-15) and junior boys (U-17) categories. The tournament will commence with the junior girls category (U-17) in the New Delhi NCR from August 18 th to 27th.
While the sub-junior boys (U-15) will be held in Bengaluru from 1 st to 9 th September, the junior boys (U-17) category will be hosted in New Delhi NCR from 15th to 24th September.
Air marshal S. Sivakumar VSM, Air Officer-in-Chief Administration and the Vice Chairman of SMSES, was the chief guest and released the event, while the Indian footballer Ashalata Devi Loitongbam was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
