Teacher killed 11th class student in Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh. He called the student to meet him near the school and slit his throat with a knife. When the student raised an alarm, the accused fled from the spot.
He ran towards the nearby petrol pump in a bloody condition to save his life. People saw him and immediately informed the family. The family took him to the hospital, where 17 year old Saurabh Pal died during treatment. Police said that before dying, the student had accused the teacher of murder.
The police investigation so far has revealed disputes over money transactions. The accused teacher is absconding. Two teams have been formed for the arrest. Saurabh’s father died 3 years ago. He lived with sister and brother-in-law. The incident took place in Jhinjhak, 50 km away from the district headquarters, on Sunday evening. It is said that the student was continuously blackmailing the teacher about his illicit relationship. He used to demand money from them to hide it. Frustrated with this, the teacher killed him.
Saurabh Pal lived with his sister
Saurabh Pal was originally a resident of Umraipur Ambiyapur under Rura police station area. His mother Munni Devi lives alone in the village. Father Subhash Pal died of illness 3 years ago. Elder brother Nitesh works in Delhi. Two elder sisters Rachna and Ruchi are married. Rachna got married in Derapur. The younger sister got married in Jhinjhak. Her husband Chandrashekhar drives a truck. Saurabh lived with his sister Ruchi in Ambedkar Nagar ward in Jhinjhak for 5 years. He was a class 11 student at Avantibai Inter College.
Called me to meet and slit my throat
Cousin Ajay Pal told that Saurabh was acquainted with Anoop Singh, a resident of Kakori (Lucknow), who teaches at Dhunnu Singh Kids International School. Anoop has been teaching in the private school of the area’s influential Dhunnu Singh for two years. He had called Saurabh at 6:30 pm on Sunday evening and asked him to meet him near the school. When Saurabh reached at 7 pm, Anoop was sitting there. He stabbed Saurabh on his neck with a knife. Saurabh fell on the ground bleeding with his throat cut. Saurabh reached the nearby petrol pump to save his life. The dying student told the name of the teacher.
Case registered on complaint of family members
CO Derapur Saurabh Kumar Verma said that during treatment at CHC Jhinjhak, Saurabh told that teacher Anoop Singh stabbed him. On the complaint of family members, a case has been registered against the accused teacher Anoop. CO Saurabh Kumar Verma said that the investigation so far has revealed that the murder took place over a dispute between Anup Singh and Saurabh Pal over money transaction. The matter will be revealed soon.
