During the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav effectively presented Madhya Pradesh’s investment-friendly policies, green energy vision, AI, industry, tourism and global potential of employment generation.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that it was a matter of pride for him to represent Madhya Pradesh in the World Economic Forum recently held in Davos. This journey was not just personal, but a journey of the aspirations and future possibilities of the eight and a half crore citizens of Madhya Pradesh.

A clear message was given from the global forum of Davos that Madhya Pradesh is a state with immense potential, where policy stability, administrative transparency and favorable environment for investment is available. The state’s capabilities in sectors such as industry, energy, technology, tourism, agriculture, education and innovation were effectively presented.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh’s participation in the World Economic Forum was active, strong and strategic. Participation in Davos proved that Madhya Pradesh is not limited to mere discussions, but is fully prepared to implement concrete investment projects. The state’s clear vision on renewable energy, clean development, artificial intelligence, industrial expansion and job creation has earned the trust of global investors.

Global Investment Dialogue and Multi-Sectoral Cooperation

Madhya Pradesh delegation at Davos had extensive interaction with global investors, industry groups and technology leadership. These meetings are expected to yield concrete results in the coming time in terms of investment, technology transfer and employment creation. Investment opportunities in renewable energy and energy storage

The battery storage project and 24×7 renewable energy strategy operated in Morena was presented on the international platform. Positive interest was seen in investment in pumped storage projects, hybrid energy models (solar-hydro, solar-thermal) and co-investment based projects.

International Financial and Industrial Cooperation

Yen loans with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), possibilities for cooperation in manufacturing, solar and renewable energy were discussed. In-depth discussions were held with Reliance Industries on bio-energy projects in Chambal region.

India-Israel Innovation Partnership

Agreement was reached on innovation cooperation with Israel Innovation Authority on quantum technology, edtech, defense technology and water solutions. It was decided to move forward on pilot projects, technology demonstration and co-investment models under India-Israel cooperation.

AI, deep-tech and digital innovation

Possibilities of collaboration with Touch Lab in the areas of cyber security, gaming and digital innovation were explored. Natrax was presented as a strategic asset for advanced mobility, AI-based testing and next-gen technology. Had positive discussions with HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra on IT, BPO and GCC/ODC expansion in tier-2 cities.

Agriculture, Food Processing and Research Cooperation

The direction of collaboration with Shiru Company on AI based protein innovation, agriculture-based inputs and applied research was decided. Emphasis was placed on pilot projects and co-development through universities, agricultural research institutes and start-up ecosystems.

Tourism branding and global identity

Discussions were held with JioStar and Bloomberg Media on tourism branding and strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s presence on global policy-business platforms. The session ‘Re-imagining Tourism at Scale’ presented a vision of linking heritage, wildlife, spiritual and cultural tourism with investment.

TMC Platform: New Initiative for Energy Transformation

‘The Meridian Collective (TMC)’ platform was launched on the second day of the World Economic Forum. It aims to accelerate energy transition and industrial de-carbonization at the sub-national level.

Through TMC, private capital, technical expertise and global networks will be connected to the states, which will help Madhya Pradesh achieve 40–50% renewable energy by 2030 and net-zero target before 2050.

Opportunities in investment, industry and pharma sector

There was a direct interaction with global investors in the ‘Invest in India: Madhya Pradesh’ roundtable. Investment opportunities were presented in sectors such as automobile, pharma, textile, IT-ITES, agriculture and food processing. Investments in pharma manufacturing, generic drugs, APIs and anti-infectives manufacturing were agreed upon with the Sandoz delegation.

International bilateral and cultural cooperation

Agreement was reached with the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Maldives on tourism, medical tourism, education and cultural exchange. Cooperation on clean energy, advanced manufacturing, tribal welfare and skill development was discussed with the representatives of Switzerland.

Sports, Youth and Yoga Dialogue

Dialogue on sports development and sports tourism with the director of Manchester United. International Yoga Conference in Ujjain and possibilities of permanent Yoga Center were discussed with global organizations.
