You can start planting the plant in the months of September to November as this time is considered perfect. To plant a plant, you can buy a small strawberry plant from the nursery for ₹ 50 to ₹ 60. After this, fill the grow bag with soil and plant this plant. After planting a plant, runners emerge from it. Due to which about 15-20 more plants are prepared. That means you will get more plants and more fruits for less money.
How to prepare soil mixture for strawberries?
You can make ideal soil for strawberries by mixing about 20% cockpit and 20% compost in 60% garden soil. You can easily find compost in nurseries with compost.
For sweet and big fruits, prepare the soil by using 40% soil, 25% cocopeat, 20% vermi-compost, 10% cow dung, 5% neem cake. Heavy soil or black sticky soil is not considered suitable for strawberries. You should get a grow bag with a diameter of: 8–10 inches and a depth of: 8–12 inches.

How much sunlight do strawberries need?
Strawberries require 5–6 hours of direct sunlight a day. In the winter season, the sunlight coming from the balcony is sufficient. If you are planting strawberries in December, then it is very important to keep the strawberries in half shade (50% shade net) in extreme heat (above 35°C) in March or April.
