Mathura CJM Court has accepted the complaint and given permission to prosecute in the viral video case of Bhagwat spokesperson Aniruddhacharya making indecent remarks on women. Statements will be recorded on January 1 on the complaint of Meera Rathore of Hindu Mahasabha.

Aniruddhacharya, who often guides people through his sermons on religious forums, is currently in legal trouble himself. The crisis, the sound of which started being heard two months ago through a viral video, has now reached the doors of the court in the form of a lawsuit. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court of Mathura not only accepted the complaint filed in the case of indecent remarks on women, but also gave permission to prosecute Aniruddhacharya.

Now the next hearing of this case will be on January 1, in which the statements of the complainant will be recorded. After that, the further direction of the case will be decided and it will be clear to what extent Aniruddhacharya will have to answer in the court.

The matter is related to the viral video in which Aniruddhacharya was heard making controversial remarks on daughters. In the video, he was seen saying that nowadays daughters get married at the age of 25 and in that time they have been married at many places. As soon as this video went viral on social media, sharp reactions started. The opposition grew and his statement started being considered an insult to women.

However, when the controversy deepened, Aniruddhacharya had clarified that his statement had been distorted and that he respects women. But this clarification could not stop the legal process.

Who took the matter to court?

Agra District President of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, Meera Rathore, had filed a complaint against this video. He alleged that Aniruddhacharya’s remarks insult women and send a wrong message to the society. This complaint was pending in the court of CJM Utsav Raj Gaurav of Mathura. Accepting this, the court has now opened the way for further hearing.

Controversy increased after the video went viral

This video of Aniruddhacharya went viral on social media in the month of October. It was claimed that this video is from his ashram, where he regularly sits on the throne and communicates with people, answers questions and gives stories and sermons. A large number of women also participate in his programs, so his statement gave rise to an even bigger reaction.

According to Manish Gupta, lawyer of complainant Meera Rathore, the court has accepted the complaint and started the further process. Meera Rathore will record her statement in the court on January 1, after which it will be decided how the case will be taken forward.
