Stocks to watch today: Tata Steel, Waaree Energies, Natco Pharma and more in focus

Kolkata: Sniffing an end to the hostilities following the five-day pause announced by Donald Trump on Monday, the market witnessed a strong rally on Tuesday. The Sensex rose 1372 points to close at 74068.45, and Nifty 50 reached 22957.80 after rising 1.78% or nearly 400 points. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks also gained around 2.6%. The market is now focused on the trading session on March 25. Whether the market will extend Monday’s gains or pause is what everyone is eager to see. Stocks in focus

Tata Steel: Tata Steel has announced an investment of up to Rs 1,680.27 crore in its subsidiary T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd. This move is considered significant in strengthening the company’s global structure.

TVS Motor Company: The company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 12 per share for the fiscal year 2025-26. This represents a 1200% dividend, which is encouraging for the investors.

HDFC Life Insurance Company: HDFC Life has received a notice from the Income Tax Department demanding Rs 126.46 crore and interest of Rs 45.55 crore. However, no penalty has been imposed.

NTPC Green Energy: The company has signed an MoU with Nxtra Data Limited for renewable energy projects, indicating growth in the green energy segment.

Waaree Energies: Waaree Energies has approved a major capex plan of Rs 3,900 crore, which will include setting up a glass manufacturing unit. The company has also increased its stake in one of its subsidiaries.

New India Assurance Company: The government company has received an income tax assessment order of Rs 189.37 crore, which the company is going to appeal.

Natco Pharma: The company has approved the demerger of its agrochemical business. Shareholders will receive shares in the new company in a 1:1 ratio.

Ceigall India: The company has received EPC orders worth around Rs 298 crore in Andhra Pradesh, which will strengthen its order book.
