Stocks to watch on December 29, 2025: Markets slipped nearly half a per cent after two sessions of range-bound trade, extending the consolidation phase amid thin volumes in the holiday-shortened week.
With no major triggers on the horizon, analysts expect consolidation to continue amid subdued participation. That said, stock- and sector-specific news flows are likely to drive selective trading opportunities.
Punjab National Bank (PNB)
PNB reported a borrowal fraud of Rs 2,433.99 crore to the Reserve Bank of India involving the erstwhile promoters of SREI Equipment Finance and SREI Infrastructure Finance. In a regulatory filing, the lender said Rs 1,240.94 crore pertains to SREI Equipment Finance, while Rs 1,193.06 crore relates to SREI Infrastructure Finance.
Coforge
Coforge announced that it has agreed to acquire US-based digital engineering firm Encora in an all-stock deal valued at an enterprise value of $2.35 billion (around ₹21,140 crore). The transaction marks one of the largest overseas acquisitions by an Indian mid-tier IT services firm and underscores Coforge’s strategic pivot toward AI-led engineering, data, and cloud services.
IndiGo
India’s largest airline saw a dip in domestic market share in November following major operational disruptions earlier in the month. Data from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), accessed by PTI, showed IndiGo’s market share fell to 63.6% in November from 65.6% in October.
Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals
The company said Rajkumar Bafna has resigned as President-Finance, citing severe pollution levels in Delhi. Bafna, designated as Senior Management Personnel, will be relieved of his duties effective December 31, 2025, Akums confirmed in a regulatory filing.
Manappuram Finance
Gold loan NBFC Manappuram Finance said its board has approved an additional equity infusion of up to Rs 250 crore into subsidiary Asirvad Micro Finance (AMFL) in one or more tranches to support capex and working capital needs. Manappuram currently holds a 98.31% stake in AMFL, which will rise to 98.56% post-infusion.
Vodafone Idea
Vodafone Idea is positioning 2026 as a year of accelerated network expansion, with an increased focus on 5G rollout alongside continued investment in its 4G network. CEO Abhijit Kishore said the telco has added a significant number of towers nationwide to improve coverage and capacity ahead of scaling next-generation services.
Titan
Titan is set to enter the fast-growing lab-grown diamond (LGD) jewellery space. The company announced the launch of a new brand, “beYon – from the House of Titan”, with its first exclusive retail store opening in Mumbai on December 29. The segment is currently dominated by VC- and PE-backed startups.
Colgate-Palmolive (India)
Colgate-Palmolive (India) disclosed that it has received an income tax demand of ₹267.64 crore for FY22, mainly due to transfer pricing adjustments and disallowance of certain expenses. The assessment order was issued under Section 143(3) read with Section 144C(13) of the Income Tax Act.
Aurobindo Pharma
CuraTeQ Biologics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma, has mutually agreed to terminate its licence agreement with US-based BioFactura Inc for the commercialisation of BFI-751, a proposed biosimilar of ustekinumab (Stelara). The decision followed a strategic portfolio review, the company said.
NBCC (India)
NBCC said it will receive a 21.23-acre land parcel in south Delhi as part of a dispute settlement with the Delhi government. The company plans to develop a mixed-use real estate project on the site with an estimated revenue potential of about Rs 8,500 crore, while paying Rs 220 crore to the Delhi government.
Timex Group India
Timex Group Luxury es BV, the promoter of Timex Group India, will sell a 4.47% stake via an offer for sale (OFS) on December 29 and 30. The OFS will involve up to 45.09 lakh equity shares at a floor price of Rs 275 per share.
Coal India
State-run Coal India said its board has appointed Chairman-cum-Managing Director B. Sairam as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a move aimed at strengthening leadership at the coal major. Sairam brings over three decades of experience in the mining sector.
Vedanta
The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a conditional no-objection certificate (NOC) to Vedanta Ltd’s Cairn Oil & Gas division for drilling 20 onshore wells in Krishna district.
