Good morning readers.The GIFT Nifty was trading near 25,800 early on Monday. The futures contract based on the benchmark Nifty 50 fell 0.02% at 25,807.50 as of 6:47 a.m. indicating a flat start for the Indian markets.
After slipping to a multi-session low, momentum indicators suggest that bears are likely to retain the upper hand, at least in the near term.
In the previous session on Friday, the benchmark ended lower for the fifth consecutive session. The NSE Nifty 50 ended 193.55 points or 0.75% lower at 25,683.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 604.72 points or 0.72% lower at 83,576.24.
