State Bank Of India Profit Rises 12.08% To ₹24,113 Crore In Q1 FY27

Mumbai: State Bank of India (SBI) on 7 August 2026, announced a consolidated net profit of ₹24,113 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, marking a 12.08 per cent rise compared to ₹21,519.04 crore in the same quarter last year.

The bank’s total consolidated income for the quarter stood at ₹1,80,061.86 crore, up from ₹1,66,991.82 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Revenue Performance

The consolidated total income for the quarter rose to ₹1,80,061.86 crore, an 8.52 per cent increase from ₹1,66,991.82 crore reported in the first quarter of the previous financial year. Sequentially, total income decreased by 0.56 per cent from ₹1,81,079.02 crore in the preceding quarter.

Expenses and Profitability

Total consolidated expenses for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 were ₹1,51,312.12 crore, compared to ₹1,32,499.16 crore in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated profit after tax before minority interest increased to ₹24,579.04 crore from ₹21,626.64 crore year-on-year.

Earnings Per Share

Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) before extraordinary items for the quarter stood at ₹21.28, a rise from ₹23.76 in the year-ago quarter. The reported EPS includes the impact of extraordinary items.

Asset Quality and Provisions

The Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) as on 30 June 2026 stood at 74.20 per cent, with PCR including AUCA at 91.82 per cent. The bank holds a provision of ₹284.89 crore for Unhedged Foreign Currency Exposures.

Share Issuances

SBI Life Insurance Company Limited allotted 1,48,413 equity shares of ₹10 each, reducing SBI’s stake from 55.33 per cent to 55.32 per cent. SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited issued 14,257 equity shares of ₹10 each, while Yes Bank Limited allotted 70,05,172 equity shares of ₹2 each.
