Schemes under Startup India
The government is running three major schemes under the Startup India initiative. Fund of Funds for Startups (FFS), Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) and Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS). The objective of these schemes is to help startups in every sector at different stages of their business.
The objective of the Fund of Funds for Startups scheme is to promote venture capital investment. It is operated by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), which provides capital to alternative investment funds registered with SEBI. These funds further invest in startups. As of October 31, 2025, these funds have invested around Rs 2,838.9 crore in 154 women-led startups.
