Stamp Fairtex Looks to Face Chihiro Sawada in Her MMA Return

Breaking down her approach inside the ring, Stamp revealed a calculated game plan designed to neutralize Flores’s ability to control the distance and angles throughout the contest.

“My game plan was to let her walk to my game plan. Because if I walked her down and pressured her, she is very good at using angles. So then it would have been her game plan. So I let her walk and walk forward to me,” Stamp said.

With the Muay Thai victory now secured, Stamp’s attention has firmly shifted back toward MMA, the discipline that once made her the only three-sport ONE World Champion.

She captured that historic title in 2023, only to suffer an injury in 2024 while preparing for her first defense, eventually forcing her to relinquish the belt during a lengthy rehabilitation process in 2025.

Stamp made her intentions clear, campaigning directly to ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for a return to MMA, and named a specific opponent she has her eyes on. Japanese standout Chihiro Sawada, riding a four-fight winning streak with just one promotional loss, emerged as her preferred target.

“It is still the plan. I think I want to fight in MMA next. So please, Chatri, let me fight that game. I can fight anyone, but I think it’s Chihiro Sawada. Chihiro, she is very good. So it might be a good fight if I fight with her,” Stamp said.

Stamp also addressed ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodrigues’s MMA ambitions directly, extending a welcoming message to the Brazilian who once dethroned her for the Muay Thai crown. She left the door open for a potential future encounter across multiple rule sets.

“I just want to say welcome to the MMA world, and yeah, someday we will fight soon. Maybe in MMA, or Muay Thai again. So anyway, I can fight with her under any rule set,” Stamp said.
