Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is set to unveil the State Education Policy (SEP) on Friday, a move which is widely considered as the state’s effort seeking more autonomy in the educational sector.
The policy, an alternative to the National Education Policy, is coming at a time when the state and the Centre are at loggerheads over the educational funding and the Three-language formula, which the Stalin government as denounced as a sinister move to impose Hindi in the state.
The DMK government has already termed the NEP ‘regressive,’ ‘anti-social justice,’ and an attempt at ‘Hindi imposition’.
