How many SSY accounts can be opened in a family?
According to the rule, Sukanya account can be opened in the name of a maximum of 2 daughters in a family. But it has some special exceptions,
1. First Twins or Triplet daughters
If the first birth is born in twins or three daughters, then SSY account can be opened for all daughters. That is, you can open 2 or 3 accounts at once.
2. Twins or Triplet daughters for the second time
If there was a daughter for the first time and the second time there are twins or three daughters, then an account can be opened for all.
3. Daughters born later
If there were twin daughters for the first time, then a new account will not be opened for daughters ahead. Meaning the rules are only up to two daughters, but all have been covered in the twins-triplet case.
