‘Split In Akhilesh Yadav’s Party Is Inevitable’: UP Minister Claims A Ballia Leader Will Lead Rebellion; Samajwadi MP Responds

Samajwadi Party Split Buzz: A massive row escalated on Thursday after Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), reiterated that a split in the Samajwadi Party is inevitable.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rajbhar even claimed that a leader from Ballia district will lead the rebels; however, he did not take any leader’s name. He further claimed that some of the MPs were insulted at a program held at the Samajwadi office on June 17.

In his post, Rajbhar claimed that while the split was already planned, it has now become inevitable after the MPs were insulted at the party event. “The plan was already in place, but yesterday’s incident has poured ghee into the fire. The split is definitely going to happen. On June 17, a conference was held at the SP office, and the Brahmin community was blatantly insulted,” Rajbhar said in his post on X.

He further suggested the SP chief launch a campaign to save his MPs instead of issuing clarifications and doing press conferences. “The way the entire Saifai family jumped into abusing me and issuing clarifications over one of my reactions-it’s far better for Akhilesh Babu to drop this Twitter, such-and-such, and PC-style leadership and instead launch a ‘Save Our MPs’ campaign,” Rajbhar said.

“And go to the homes of the upset and disappointed MPs to apologise to them,” the UP minister added. While he did not take anyone’s name, his Ballia link was apparently towards Sanatan Pandey, a Samajwadi Party MP from Ballia. In his response, Pandey clarified that he is a socialist by birth, further suggesting Rajbhar not spread the rumours.

Earlier on Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav too slammed Rajbhar by alleging that he was speaking the language of the BJP leaders, claiming that the BJP MLAs are ready to switch sides.
