Ludhiana: Taking a loan of Rs 35,000 became a terrifying experience for a financially strapped woman in Ludhiana, Punjab. In the name of help, a financier put such a bad and shocking condition in front of the woman, which made her life hell. The incident took place on January 5, when the woman went to a financier’s office and took a loan of Rs 35,000. For this, the accused had also made the woman sign a blank check and a promissory note. It was decided between the two that the woman would pay an installment of Rs 10,000 every month from March.

The situation changed completely on March 7. The financier called the woman to his office and said, “You don’t need to repay the loan… you just have to spend one night with me every week.” Not only this, he also lured her that if she agreed for one night every week, he would give her Rs 5-6 lakh per year. The woman flatly rejected this cheap offer, but the accused did not stop harassing her. He continued harassing the woman through phone calls, threats and pressure. The woman became so mentally broken due to this harassment that it affected her work as well. It is being told that due to continuous trouble, the owner of the company fired him from the job.
Returned Rs 35 thousand but still kept on putting pressure
Under immense pressure, the woman finally sold her gold and returned Rs 35,000 to the accused through Google Transfer. Despite this, the accused continued to harass her using his influence. It is also being said that he pretended to burn the loan documents. After receiving the complaint about this incident, the Correctional Police started investigation. In the initial investigation, the police have found many important evidences including recording of phone conversations. A case has been registered for mentally harassing the woman and the accused has been arrested.
The woman has not eaten or drunk anything for several days
According to the police, the accused was putting immense pressure on the woman using his money and contacts. The investigation of the case is going on and preparations are underway to present the accused in the court and take him on remand.
