UP Police Sexual Harassment Case: A police constable in Aligarh has been accused of demanding sexual relations from a rape victim in exchange for help. UP Crime: A case has come to light from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, which has raised serious questions on the police system. The woman who approached the police station hoping for justice allegedly faced exploitation within the same system. This incident raises concerns not only about law and order but also about the safety of the victims.
Constable Imran Khan, posted at Quarsi police station in Aligarh, is accused of pressurizing the 25-year-old rape victim to have sexual relations in exchange for taking action on her complaint. The victim says that she had already reached the police station to lodge a complaint against a man for raping her on the pretext of marriage. But instead of registering the case, the accused constable contacted her and then started harassing her continuously through calls and messages.

Shocking things revealed in the recording
The victim showed courage and recorded the conversation with the accused constable. In these recordings the constable is allegedly heard saying very objectionable things. He allegedly said he would help the woman if she sent him “sexy photos”. Not only this, he also demanded to meet in the hotel and have physical relations. It was also revealed in the recording that he tried to reassure by citing religion and in return promised to register a case and send the accused to jail.

attempt to silence by threatening
The matter did not stop here. It is alleged that the constable also threatened the victim. He said that if he told this to anyone, he would not allow any action to be taken, but would instead send him to jail. This threat caused mental pressure and fear to the victim, but she did not give up.
The victim reached SSP from IGRS portal
The victim had earlier lodged a complaint on the Chief Minister’s IGRS portal so that action could be taken quickly in the matter. But when he did not get a satisfactory response from there, he gathered courage and directly contacted senior police officers. The victim also handed over the recordings as evidence, after which the matter became serious.

Strict action by SSP
As soon as information about the case was received, Senior Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun took immediate action and suspended the accused constable. Besides, instructions were also given to register an FIR against him. According to the police, the accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), which include serious charges like sexual harassment and criminal intimidation.
Investigation continues, what did the officers say?
Deputy SP Sarvam Singh said that the victim had appeared before the SSP and given her complaint. After this the investigation was handed over to him. Based on the investigation report, a case has been registered and further action is underway.
