WTC 2025 Final: South Africa have announced their 15-man squad for the WTC 2025 Final at Lord’s Cricket Ground, London vs Australia.
The Proteas welcome the return of pacer Lungi Ngidi, as they aim at dethroing Aussies as the World Test champions.
Led by skipper Temba Bavuma, the side features the likes of Marco Jansen & Kagiso Rabada as prime pacers, alongside the spin duo of Keshav Maharaj and Aiden Markram (batting all-rounder).
It will be interesting to see whether South Africa features the inexperienced Dave Bedingham in the mega event against the world-class pace attack of Australia.
The last time these two sides faced each other, Australia ran away comfortable 2-0 winners in the 3-match Test series.

‘We Have All The Bases Covered’: Shukri Conrad
South Africa head coach Shukri Conrad believes that his side have convered ‘all the bases’ in accordance with the English conditions, as they take on Australia for the WTC 2025 title.
Here’s what he said:
“Firstly, I want to congratulate each of the players selected for this squad. It is a special moment for this group to contest the WTC Final. Over the past 18 months, we’ve worked hard to build a competitive red-ball unit, and this achievement reflects that progress.”
“A key part of our success has been consistency in selection, and we’ve stuck with the core group of players who have been part of this WTC cycle. We’ve selected a balanced squad for the conditions we expect at Lord’s.”
“I’m particularly pleased to welcome Lungi back in the side. He’s put in the work and offers us an experienced option with the ball.”
