A speeding Thar wreaked havoc on Sunday morning near 11 Murti Road in the national capital. The driver, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle and struck two pedestrians crossing the road. One person succumbed to their injuries, while the other was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The Delhi Police apprehended the Thar driver at the scene. An empty liquor bottle was recovered from the vehicle, corroborating eyewitness statements that the driver was intoxicated.

According to the information received from the Delhi police, the car involved in the accident is registered in the name of Ankit Adnani, who is a resident of Ahimsa Khand, Ghaziabad. The owner had given his car to his friend, who caused the accident while he was allegedly intoxicated.
