Rajwadi Tea Ingredients
Milk – 2 cups
Water – ½ cup
Tea leaves – 2 teaspoons
Sugar/jaggery – as per taste
Ginger – 1 inch (crushed)
Cardamom – 23 (ground)
Cinnamon-1 small piece
Black pepper – 45 grains (crushed)
Fennel – ½ tsp
Saffron – 56 threads
Nutmeg – 1 pinch
Dry rose petals – 1 pinch
How to make tea
First of all, pour water in the pan and add ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and fennel and boil well for 23 minutes. Now add tea leaves in it and let it cook for 1 minute. After this add milk, reduce the flame and let it boil for 57 minutes so that the flavor of the spices gets absorbed properly. Now add saffron, nutmeg and rose petals. Keep in mind that add sugar or jaggery at the very end. After this let it come to a boil. Filter the tea and take it out in a cup. Serve the tea in an earthen kulhar or a thick cup and add one saffron thread on top.
