The political movement has intensified in the Baliya district of UP. Politics heating up has gone to demand to change the name of the district. In fact, BJP MLA (BJP MLA) from Bansdih Assembly, Ketki Singh raised the demand to change the name of Ghazipur, Azamgarh and Mau.
Now this demand has been supported by Samajwadi Party (SP) MP (MP) Sanatan Pandey. The SP MP has said that Ghazipur should be named after Maharishi Jamadagni and Ballia should be named after freedom fighter fighter Mangal Pandey.
After this statement of the SP MP, questions are being raised whether the party will take action against him? This question is also arising because earlier the Samajwadi Party has taken strict steps against its MLAs, when they praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath or BJP government.
The party expressed displeasure over the praise of the Chief Minister by SP MLA Pooja Pal. Action has also been taken on other MLAs. Now the question is arising in the minds of the people whether SP MP Sanatan Pandey will be shown the way out of the party in the same way?
Actually, former Union Minister Uma Bharti recently raised the demand to change the name of Shahjahanpur. He said that slavery is reflected in this name. Reacting to this, BJP MLA Ketki Singh welcomed Uma Bharti’s statement. He said that at the time of independence, the names related to invaders should have been removed and cities and districts should have been named after our great men. He also demanded to change the names of Ghazipur, Azamgarh and Mau.
Ketki Singh said, are there no great men in our country? Shahjahanpur was named for his glory. The people there were tortured. History is witness that the invaders worked to snatch our identity. In such a situation, the names of Ghazipur, Azamgarh and Mau should also be changed.
SP MP Sanatan Pandey’s support…
SP MP from Ballia Sanatan Pandey also supported this statement of BJP MLA. He said, when it came to the British against the Khilafat, the freedom fighter fighter was the first Mangal Pandey. He fought against the British in 1857 and martyred. Ballia should be named after Mangal Pandey.
The MP further said, I have also demanded in the House that Ballia should be renamed after Mangal Pandey. Ghazipur should be named after Maharishi Jamadagni. If MLAs do politics of Ballia, then they should know the history of Ballia.
What will Samajwadi Party do now?
The question is that the way the SP had taken disciplinary action against its MLAs, will MP Sanatan Pandey also take action? Or will the party take a different stand in this matter? At present, there has not been an official response from the SP, but this rhetoric has become a big subject of discussion in the politics of the district.
