Soori’s Blockbuster Film Maaman Is Now Streaming In Telugu On THIS OTT Platform

Maaman, the 2025 blockbuster Tamil film, hit the OTT space nearly two and a half months after its theatrical release. Based on the story of a uncle and his nephew, the Soori-starrer started streaming in Tamil on Zee5 from August 8, 2025. Now, the film is available to watch in Telugu as well.

Maaman is now available in Telugu and Kannada on Zee5 from August 27, 2025, coinciding with the festive release. Directed by Prashanth Pandiyaraj, Maaman’s story has been penned by the film’s lead actor Soori.

Maaman also features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swasika, Baba Bhaskar, Master Prageeth Sivan, and Bala Saravanan were also seen in key roles. Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the music for this film, which was produced by K Kumar. Soori became a well-known name in Telugu for his performance in Viduthalai, which was also a decent hit.

Prashanth Pandiyaraj had previously directed the web series Vilangu. Maaman tells the story of Inba (Soori) and Nilan aka Laddu (Prateesh Sivan). Inba’s sister Girija (Swasika) has prayed for years for gives birth to a child and after a decade, she is blessed with Nilan whom the entire family loves and adores. Inba and Laddu become inseparable and the uncle becomes the father figure in Laddu’s life. Inba meets Dr Rekha (Aishwarya Lekshmi) and love begins. It is when the two get married that problems begins due to Laddu’s bond with his uncle. Rekha and Inba start facing issues and family tension arise. How do these family problems get resolved? This forms the rest of the story.

Talking to the press for the film’s release, Soori said “I am extremely happy over the response the film is getting right now. So many sisters approached me telling me that this film is a chapter from their life… that’s exactly what we wanted to convey and we are glad the film is able to connect to family audiences. I always wanted to be a part of a movie like this, and I am glad I got a chance to do so. ”
