New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that his government will be launching the next generation of reforms soon. PM Modi’s assurance comes as Indian exports have been hit hard due to US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose 50 per cent tariffs on Indian products entering America.
The prime minister made the comments while addressing the Semicon India 2025 event in the national capital. Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw presented the first “Made in India” semiconductor chip to PM Modi at the event.
Hailing the semiconductor policy of India, PM Modi said, the day is not far when the world will say: ‘Designed in India, Made in India, and Trusted by World’.
The PM also mentioned the recent GDP figures saying that the Indian economy performed better than all expectations with 7.8 pc growth in April-June amid global uncertainties.
