New Delhi: Sony India has launched its biggest television so far, the 98-inch BRAVIA 5, which gives the company an opportunity to change home entertainment into a complete cinematic experience. The BRAVIA 5, with its giant screen of 249 cm, its latest imaging technologies and immersive sound characteristics, will take you to the movie theatre in your living room. The company is marketing this new product under its campaign of cinemas coming home.
The BRAVIA 5 is a union of the most effective picture and sound technologies by Sony, such as the Cognitive Processor XR and the Dolby Vision Atmos. Combined with Sony Pictures Core access and a variety of calibrated modes, it carries studio-grade visual and audio to the home audiences. The television can now be found not only in the Sony Centres, large electronics shops and online in India but also with special launch offers to increase the possible access.
AI-Powered cognitive processor
It has the Advanced AI Processor XR, which replicates the senses of a human being to process images and audio in a more natural way, on the BRAVIA 5. It applies machine learning and cognitive intelligence to analyse data in real-time to achieve an astonishing sense of reality, as each frame appears to be alive.
XR backlight master drive
Sony XR Backlight Master Drive has a high-density LED array and intelligent dimming controls to generate intense blacks and brighter highlights. This backlighting system improves contrast and the dynamic range even when the room is bright or dark by providing a more enhanced viewing experience.
Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos collaborate in the BRAVIA 5 to provide a multidimensional visual and sound experience. It will have even richer colours, brighter, vivid colours, and spatial audio that surrounds you, as in a real movie theatre at home.
The TV has studio-calibrated modes, which recreate the intended content by the creators. It consists of Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, Sony Pictures Core Mode and the new Prime Video Calibrated Mode, which is optimised for series, movies and live sports.
Included is Sony Pictures Core, a collection of movies in near-4K Blu-ray quality, including IMAX Enhanced movies, available to viewers. The feature will make all the titles look as detailed and deep as the hardware of the TV is powerful.
