Sonam Wangchukuk: His wife has now filed a petition in the Supreme Court to protest against the arrest of Sonam Wangchuk. Meanwhile, schools and markets have been reopened eight days after the performance at Leh.

Sonam Wangchukuk: Geetanjali Angmo, wife of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding her release in the case of protests in Ladakh. Wangchuk was detained under the National Security Act on 26 September. Let me tell you that two days ago, four people were killed and 90 people were injured in the protest demanding state status and sixth schedule to Ladakh. Currently Wangchuk is lodged in Jodhpur Jail in Rajasthan.

Geetanjali Angmo has filed a petition in the Supreme Court through advocate Sarvam Retam Khare challenging Wangchuk’s detention and demanded immediate release. The petition also raised questions on the decision to detain him under the National Security Act.

“Wangchuk is only being made a sacrifice of sacrifice”

Gitanjali Angmo has alleged that he has not yet been given a copy of the detention order, which is a clear violation of the rules. He also said that till now he has not been able to contact Wangchuk. Recently, the Ladakh administration rejected the allegations of espionage against Wangchuk. Earlier, Angmo criticized the police action and claimed that Sonam Wangchuk was being made only a sacrifice and this whole action is a concoction.
