Bollywood Actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted an elegant baby shower on Sunday at their Mumbai home, celebrating the upcoming arrival of their second child.
The intimate event was attended by a host of industry friends and family, including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Masaba Gupta, Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, and other prominent personalities.
Sonam Kapoor chose a striking lime-green lehenga for the occasion, paired with a matching dupatta and cape adorned with delicate floral embroidery. She accessorised with traditional jewellery, including a coordinated necklace, earrings, and bangles, while styling her hair in a neat bun, creating a graceful and festive look befitting the occasion. Anand Ahuja complemented her in a beige and white kurta-pyjama, maintaining a simple yet elegant style.
The couple’s residence was transformed into a dreamy venue with elaborate floral decorations and whimsical paper birds suspended from the ceiling, adding a festive and celebratory ambience. Guests were welcomed into a setting that blended elegance with playful touches, reflecting the joyous nature of the celebration.
Sonam Kapoor announced her second pregnancy in November last year through a series of Instagram posts. In the pictures, she was seen cradling her baby bump in a pink archival Escada co-ord set with black stockings and heels, captioning the post simply as “Mother,” accompanied by a kissing emoticon, delighting fans and followers.
The couple, who married in 2018 after three years of dating, welcomed their first child, Vayu, in August 2022. Sonam has been on a brief professional hiatus since her last project, the Zee5 film Blind in 2023, focusing on her family and personal milestones.
