Sona BLW shares in focus as board clears ₹63 crore capex to expand robotics components business

Sona BLW Precision Forgings shares will be in the spotlight as the company’s board of directors approved capital expenditure for the robotics components business on Tuesday, June 16.

The auto components maker’s board has cleared a capital expenditure of ₹62.6 crore for the manufacturing of components and systems for the robotics industry, including advanced robotics.

The company said in a regulatory filing that the capex is expected to support access to new end markets and application areas beyond the automotive industry while also broadening its product portfolio and contributing to long-term growth opportunities.

Sona BLW Q4 earnings

For Q4 FY26, the company had reported a 17% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to ₹192 crore as compared to ₹164 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations for the quarter under review stood at ₹1,257 crore, rising 45.4% YoY from ₹864.7 crore in Q4 FY25. The total expenses in Q4 jumped to ₹1,043 crore from ₹703 crore in the year-ago period.

For the full fiscal year FY26, Sona BLW had reported a revenue of ₹4,449.5 crore as against ₹3,546 crore in FY25. The total income was at ₹4,572 crore for FY26.

The company’s board of directors had also recommended a final dividend of ₹1.80 per equity share (face value ₹10) for FY26. The record date has been fixed as June 26, 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.

From the beginning of the year, Sona BLW shares have advanced 26%. Over a month’s time, the stock has gained 5%, while it has rallied 23% in the last six months.

On Tuesday, Sona BLW shares closed at ₹598.65 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 0.39%.

Shares of the company had touched their one-year high of ₹621.80 apiece on May 27, 2026, while their 52-week low of ₹402.30 was hit on September 29, 2025.

According to NSE data, the company has a market capitalization of ₹37,076 crore as of June 16, 2026.
