Some of my friends struggled, but ‘super safe’ for me: Russian woman on life in India | WATCH

Bengaluru: A Russian woman who has lived in India for over a decade has shared her top three learnings from the country, praising its hospitality and welcoming people.

Her insights, posted on social media, have gone viral.

Iuliia Aslamova, who has called Bengaluru home for the last 11 years, reflected on how India has “impacted” and “moulded” her. “Hospitality in India is on a different level. People are so welcoming, open-hearted and helpful. Ask anyone how to reach place X, and everyone will try to help. Everyone!” she wrote.

While Aslamova highlighted the warmth and support she experienced, she acknowledged that not everyone finds India easy to navigate.

“I have tons of stories where some friends of mine struggled with all possible challenges in India (they had pre-defined stereotypes) and others, like me, had the most possible welcome to the country and saw all the beauty here,” she added.

Despite occasional challenges faced by foreigners, Aslamova concluded on a reassuring note about safety: “India is super safe. Read point 2.”

Her candid reflections shed light on the diverse experiences of expatriates in India, capturing both the challenges and the charm of life in the country.
