Puja Vidhi of Som Pradosh fast
Morning resolution: Wake up early in the morning and take bath. Wear clean clothes and take a pledge to fast. Keep fasting or fasting for the whole day.
Evening Preparation: Take bath once again in the evening before the Pradosh period starts. Clean the place of worship.
Establishment: Sit facing north-east direction. Spread white or red cloth on a post and install the idols of Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati and Nandi.
Coronation: Shivalinga But perform Rudrabhishek with Ganga water, milk, curd, honey and ghee.
Offer Content: Offer sandalwood, ash, belpatra, hemp, datura, rice, white flowers and sweets to Lord Shiva. Offer sixteen makeup items to Goddess Parvati.
Lamp: Light a cow ghee lamp and offer incense.
Lesson: Recite Shiv Chalisa, Pradosh Vrat Katha and chant Mahamrityunjaya Mantra or Mahamantra of Shiva.
Aarti and Apology: In the end, perform aarti of Shiva-Parvati and apologize for your mistakes.
