It finally rained runs from the bat of Indian women’s cricket team’s star opener and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana. Smriti, who was on cloud nine after winning the World Cup recently, also had to face heart-breaking turmoil in her personal life. Battling all these circumstances, Mandhana returned to the field. Her return was not good but finally she showed her ‘run machine’ form against Sri Lanka and made a world record by completing 10 thousand runs in international cricket.
