Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana is slowly taking control of herself after a sudden mountain of sorrow broke amidst an atmosphere full of happiness. Smriti, who was preparing to tie the knot with Palash Muchhal on 23rd November, had to decide to postpone it on the same day. About two weeks later, Smriti officially announced the cancellation of the marriage. Since then, everyone was eager to see the star batsman again and the wait ended when Mandhana was seen at an event and there she again expressed her love for cricket.
After announcing the cancellation of their wedding in an Instagram post on December 7 Mandhana Was seen at an event in Mumbai on Wednesday 10th December. Here, women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was also present with him and during this he talked about questions related to World Cup and cricket career. During this, Mandhana also showed her courage and gave answers while keeping the boiling point of emotions under control.
Expressed his love for cricket
Although the love of Mandhana may have gone away from her life, her first love is still with her and that is cricket. The vice-captain of the Indian team mentioned this and said that she hardly loves anything more than cricket. Mandhana said, “I don’t think I love anything more than cricket. The motivation of wearing the Indian jersey is what drives us forward. You keep all your problems aside and this thought (playing for the Indian team) only helps in maintaining focus in life.”
Mandhana will return from this series
Only last month, Mandhana played an important role in making Team India world champion for the first time. She was the batsman who scored the most runs for India in the World Cup. Since that World Cup, the entire team including Smriti Mandhana is on a break. But their break is going to end soon because from December 21, the Indian team will take the field for a 5-match T20 series, where it will face Sri Lanka. The team for this series has been announced and Mandhana will also be seen playing in it.
