In Pakistan’s Punjab province, a mother strangled her 16-year-old daughter to death after a dispute over smoking a cigarette. The daughter did not like her mother smoking cigarettes in public. The police have arrested the accused mother.
Islamabad: In Pakistan, a mother strangled her sixteen-year-old daughter to death after a fight over cigarette smoking. The incident took place in Basti Sokar area of Bahawalpur district of Punjab province. Police said that 45-year-old Nabila Ahmed and her daughter Ayesha often quarreled over cigarette smoking. Police say that Ayesha did not like her mother smoking publicly and she used to try to stop her. In this connection, during a fight on Saturday night, Nabila strangled Ayesha to death.
Nabila fled from the spot after the incident. But, on the information of a family member, the police arrested Nabila Ahmed after investigation. Forensic and crime units reached the spot and collected evidence. The body of the murdered girl has been sent to Yazman THQ Hospital for post-mortem.
