The first batch of the Skoda Kodiaq RS has been sold out in India within just six minutes of the . While the prices of the performance SUV are yet to be announced, it’s expected to cost nearly Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). The model lineup comes in four exterior colour options – Magic Black, Steel Grey, Moon White and Velvet Red – and features an all-black cabin theme with contrasting red accents and stitching.
Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS houses a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. This motor pushes out a maximum power of 265PS and 400Nm of torque. In the standard Kodiaq, the same engine delivers 204PS and 320Nm. Skoda claims that the SUV does 0 to 100kmph in 6.3 seconds, making it the fastest Skoda ever launched in India.
For the performance SUV, the carmaker has recalibrated the engine control unit (ECU) and several other key components. A Dynamic Chassis Control Plus (DCC Plus) adaptive suspension system enhances its riding comfort and performance.
