Every election of Siwan Assembly seat has been full of suspense. BJP won in 2010, BJP won in 2015 and RJD won in 2020. Now in 2025, will a new face emerge or will strongman politics dominate again? This question is making the public restless.
Siwan Assembly Election 2025: From the era of Shahabuddin to the victory of Awadh Bihari Chaudhary, the electoral history of Siwan Assembly has always been mysterious and interesting. Now the question is in 2025 – will a new ‘Sahab’ emerge here again?
Electoral history of Siwan Assembly
Siwan Assembly Seat (Siwan Assembly Election 2025) is counted among the most popular seats of Bihar. In the 1990s, this seat remained completely in the possession of Shahabuddin. Murder, kidnapping and muscle politics were the hallmarks here. But after 2005, with the coming of Nitish Kumar’s government, the situation changed and gradually the power of ‘Sahab’ started decreasing.

2025 elections – search for a new face
There is internal discussion that this time RJD can bet on a new face. It is being said that Faizal Mian—who was once Shahabuddin’s driver and is now a big businessman—is in the race for the ticket. Whereas BJP can show trust only on its old leaders.
Caste equation-decisive factor
Yadav, Muslim and Bhumihar votes play a decisive role in Siwan. RJD has always got the benefit of M-Y equation, while BJP is working on Bhumihar and Pasmanda vote bank. If a strongman enters the fray then division of Muslim votes is possible.
Clean up drive and fear of jungle raj
Police are opening old cases before the elections. It is believed that this ‘clean up drive’ is to weaken the pro-RJD strongmen. But the question in the minds of the public is – “Will Siwan return to the jungle raj of the 90s?” This fear makes this election more mysterious.
