Singheshwar Assembly 2025: Will RJD win due to Yadav-Muslim alliance or will JDU turn the tables?

The equations keep changing in every election in Singheshwar assembly seat of Bihar. There is sure to be a tough contest between JDU and RJD here. JDU won in 2010 and 2015, but RJD counterattacked in 2020. In whose favor will the caste equation turn in 2025?

Singheshwar Assembly Election 2025: Singheshwar Vidhan Sabha Seat of Madhepura district of Bihar has always been the center of political turmoil. This seat is reserved for SC (Scheduled Caste) and there is a direct contest between JDU and RJD. Caste equations, regional issues and development promises change the electoral game every time on this seat. While JDU showed a strong hold in 2010 and 2015, in 2020 RJD’s Chandrahas Chaupal made a dent in JDU’s fort.

Singheshwar assembly election, 2010

In 2010, JDU candidate Ramesh Rishidev defeated RJD candidate Vijay Kumar Singh.

  • Ramesh Rishidev: 58,000+ votes
  • Vijay Kumar Singh: 50,000+ votes
  • Margin of victory: Around 8,000 votes

Note: In this election, JDU got 52.4% votes, which showed the strength of the party.

Singheshwar assembly election, 2015

In 2015, JDU further strengthened its hold.

  • Ramesh Rishidev (JDU): 83,073 votes (71.79%)
  • Manju Devi (HAMS): 32,873 votes
  • Margin of victory: 50,200 votes

Note: This was considered the biggest victory of JDU and the vote bank of the party was considered inexhaustible.

Singheshwar Assembly Election 2020

For the first time in 2020, the equations changed and RJD won.

  • Chandrahas Chaupal (RJD): 86,181 votes
  • Ramesh Rishidev (JDU): 80,608 votes
  • Margin of victory: 5,573 votes

Note: This result shows that JDU’s stronghold has been shaken and RJD has made a strong entry on this seat.

2025 elections – will the equations change again?

Now the big question is who will win in the 2025 Singheshwar Assembly Elections? Will JDU be able to reunite its traditional vote bank or RJD’s Chandrahas Chaupal will once again create history of victory. Only Yadav, Kurmi, Sada and Muslim voters will decide the result. This seat shows new political colors every time and that is why the 2025 elections will be very interesting.
