More than Rs 18 lakh stolen from fans at Travis Scott’s concert in Mumbai. Taking advantage of the crowd, thieves stole 24 mobile phones and 12 gold chains. Police have registered a case against unknown people and started investigation.
Mumbai: America’s Grammy-nominated rapper Travis Scott’s Mumbai concert became a den of thieves. Fans have complained that their valuables, such as jewelery and mobile phones, worth at least Rs 18 lakh, were stolen. Thousands of fans had gathered at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course to enjoy the explosive performance of the American rapper, singer and songwriter. When people were dancing to Scott’s popular songs, a gang of thieves took advantage of the crowd and carried out the robbery.
According to the data received so far, 24 mobile phones and 12 gold chains were stolen, whose total value is more than Rs 18 lakh. After this incident, many people who came to the concert went to the nearby Tardeo police station and filed a theft report. A case has been registered against an unidentified person under sections 303(2) and 304 of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) and investigation has been initiated.
Police are currently examining the CCTV footage installed at the entry gate of the concert to identify the culprits. Efforts are on to recover the stolen goods and arrest those responsible.
