New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh bluntly told Pakistan that the Sindh area may not be with India today, but the borders can change and this area can join India back in the future. The Defense Minister said that Sindhi Hindus, especially those of the generation of leaders like Lal Krishna Advani, never accepted the separation of Sindh region from India. Lal Krishna Advani has also mentioned this in one of his books. Let us tell you that the area near the Indus River i.e. Sindh province went to Pakistan after partition in 1947. After this the Sindhi people living in that area came to India.

The water of Indus is no less sacred than the waters of Mecca.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, quoting Lal Krishna Advani’s book, said that not only in Sindh but across India, Hindus considered the Indus river sacred. Many Muslims of Sindh also believed that the water of Indus is no less sacred than the water of Mecca. Sindh province may not be a part of India today, but culturally Sindh will always be a part of India.

Wherever the people of Sindh are, they will remain ours.

Rajnath Singh further said, as far as land is concerned, the borders can be changed. Who knows, Sindh may come back to India tomorrow. The people of Sindh, who have always considered the Indus River sacred, will always remain our own, wherever they may be. There was huge applause on this statement of the Defense Minister.
