Silver prices increased

On the one hand, gold prices are increasing during the festive season. On the other hand, the price of silver has increased. Last week, the price of silver in the country increased. The price of the contract expiring on December 5, 2025 has increased on the futures market i.e. MCX. In a week, the price of silver under this contract has increased by Rs 10,138 per kg.

Gold and silver prices increased

There has been an increase in the prices of gold and silver since last Diwali and Dhanteras. Not only have the prices increased in the futures market, silver rates have also increased in the spot market. Last year, during Diwali, the price of gold was around Rs 80,000 per 10 grams, which has increased to Rs 1,30,000 per 10 grams this year. That means an increase of about 60 percent has been seen. Similarly, the price of silver was Rs 98,000 per kg in 2024, which has now crossed Rs 1,80,000 per kg, that is, an increase of about 55 percent has been seen.

Silver prices increased on MCX

There has been a surge in silver prices in the futures market between the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday, October 10, 2025, and Friday this week. On the 10th, the price of 1 kg of silver with a contract expiring on 5 December 2025 was Rs 1,46,466. At the same time, when the trade took place on Monday, silver closed at Rs 1,54,645 per kg with great rise. However, after this a correction was seen in the price of silver. But on Friday i.e. 17th October, silver closed at Rs 1,56,604 per kg. Overall, silver prices closed with a rise of Rs 10,138 in a week.

Gold prices increased in one year

There has been a tremendous rise in the prices of gold from last year to this year. Gold prices have reached record high on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). If we talk about last year’s Diwali i.e. 31 October 2024, then gold was Rs 78,430 per 10 grams. But when the market closed on October 16, it became Rs 1,29,852 per 10 grams. That is, an increase of Rs 51,422, which is an increase of 65.56%. By the way, during trading on October 17, the price of gold increased by Rs 2,442 to Rs 1,32,294 per 10 grams, which is the highest level till date.
