Speculation is growing that Silambarasan aka STR and Nayanthara could reunite on screen for an upcoming project directed by Keerthiswaran, who made his directorial debut with ‘Dude’.
According to industry reports, Keerthiswaran has signed Silambarasan for his second directorial venture, with the actor reportedly playing a police officer. Nayanthara is said to be in consideration for the female lead, though the makers have yet to officially announce the cast.
If confirmed, the film would bring the actors together nearly a decade after their last collaboration in Pandiraaj’s ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’, released in 2016. They had previously shared screen space in the 2006 film ‘Vallavan’.
The project would also mark Silambarasan’s return to a police role after his appearance as a cop in ‘Osthe’ (2011). Reports suggest that filming could begin in December.
Meanwhile, speculation surrounding Keerthiswaran’s next film has also linked the director to Jason Sanjay, son of Chief Minister Vijay. Some reports claim the project could mark Jason’s acting debut.
However, Keerthiswaran is reportedly expected to complete the Silambarasan project before moving on to another venture.
