Sikandar Kher didn’t need much convincing to join Dahaad 2. The actor had known creators Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar long before stepping into the world of the Prime Video series, making the collaboration an easy yes.
“I’ve known Zoya and Reema since I was a child, when Reema was a second assistant director [AD] and Zoya was the first. So personally, I was looking forward to collaborating with [them]. I love and respect their work more than anything. So it was something that I was excited about,” he told mid-day.
Kher says the series brought him closer to his co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Gulshan Devaiah. The cast spent months filming in Rajasthan, building bonds that extended beyond the set. “There’s also Viineet Kumar Siingh and Aisha Ahmed in the show. We were together for ,and built an exceptional camaraderie. I also found a wonderful friend in Gulshan. We would spend a lot of time talking about life and work. Same with Sonakshi, all our scenes together went smoothly. These people are [thorough] professionals. What I also liked on [the set of] Dahaad was that the atmosphere was light. It’s fun to work with such people,” he smiled.
