Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan has dealt with multiple release date changes. From May to September, the folklore fantasy’s release date has been reshuffled many times. As of now, the movie is gearing up for a silver screen release on September 25. However, according to a media report, The Vvaan has hit a roadblock. Produced by Shobha Kapooor, Ektaa Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari, the movie is reportedly undergone a significant reshoot and re-edit. The movie was originally set to release in May this year.
The Vvaan Undergoes Changes Before Release?
According to Filmfare, ‘s direction team has been changed with the reshoot and re-edit underway. Filmmaker Deepak Mishra and TVF, who were associated with this project since the inception, have apparently been removed.
Niraj Kothari and Sahir Raza are now reportedly working on the film’s edit under the direction of Ektaa Kapoor. Sidharth, on the other hand, is rumoured to have pushed for 17 additional days of reshoot. The actor is said to be keen on reworking the action sequences alongwith the film’s climax.
For those unaware, The Vvaan‘s star cast also includes Maniesh Paul, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Anup Soni. According to IMDB, the movie’s synopsis reads, “A rational urban man defies his ancestral village’s forbidden forest and awakens a divine goddess.” He is further forced to confront powers beyond logic as he becomes the saviour protecting his people from annihilation.
Tamannaah Bhatia On Working With Sidharth Malhotra
At Prime Video 2026 slate event, it was revealed that Tamannaah and Sidharth’s The Vvaan will be released on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run. Sharing her experience working with Sidharth, the actress said, “Sid was a long, long dream and I’m very happy that I’ve had the chance to collaborate with him. I think he’s really a fine actor.”
She further discussed the film’s script, saying that it has a strong soul at its heart. “And I’ve seen that happen with some of my previous films that have done well. When I heard the story of this film, I felt it had such a strong anchor, with Indian folklore at the forefront,” she added. According to her, The Vvaan will be a ‘pakka masala’ movie that will audiences emotional at the end.
On the work front, was last seen in Tushar Hiranandani’s Param Sundari with Janhvi Kapoor. Tamannaah, on the other hand, did a cameo appearance in Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s O’Romeo.
